This past June, I officiated at a wedding at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in NYC. Friends and family of the Polish groom flew over to attend. I wanted to create a ceremony that would blend the Polish and western cultures in a way that would be comfortable for all, particularly for those who didn't speak English. I incorporated elements from the traditional bread and salt ritual. I wish I could have captured the smiles when Mikolaj's family saw the dark bread on one of your beautiful plates!
