’24 Goals: More Dragonfly Patterns

As I dream of the lush beauty of my garden on this chilly New Year’s weekend, I find myself reflecting on the past year and eagerly anticipating what 2024, the Year of the Dragon, has in store. I particularly look forward to reconnecting with the earth-bound dragons in my backyard, the Texas spiny lizards, currently in peaceful hibernation. These charming little guys are my best garden buddies, expertly managing the insect population so I can actually enjoy my outdoor space.

Much like the flourishing life in my garden, my love for nature extends indoors to my collection of Polish pottery. Even during the winter months, I bring the outdoors in by using several planters and vases to propagate new plants, ensuring a vibrant start to the upcoming spring. Among my favorite patterns are those with delicate dragonflies, ladybugs, and butterflies.

In fact, if you’ve ever wondered how the dragonfly got its name, its history traces back to old European folklore, where they were believed to be ethereal messengers of fairies and mythical beings. It’s no wonder that the dragonfly motif holds a special place in Polish pottery Unikat patterns!

As we embrace the spirit of the Year of the Dragon, let yourself be enchanted by the nature-inspired patterns of Polish pottery. Take awhile to slow down and choose your favorite designs — you can’t go wrong!  Polish pottery is sure to soften your interior whether it’s filled with plants or not.  Let this year of growing your garden and pottery collection be a rich one filled with strength, good fortune, and purpose. Here’s to 2024!
